WHAT IS FAR INFRARED
The complete spectrum of sunlight consists of visible rays. The visible rays are red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, blue, and violet in color, known as rainbow colors. The invisible rays are Ultra Violet., X-rays, Gamma, Cosmic, Microwave, Long Wave, Electrical Wave, and infrared.
Electromagnetic waves between visible light and the microwave are called infrared waves. The wavelength of infrared waves ranges from 0.76 microns to 1,000 microns. Infrared rays vary in wavelengths, and are categorized as near infrared (0.76 to 1.5 microns), mid infrared (1.5 to 4 microns) and far infrared (4 to 1,000 microns).
The most noticeable is far infrared waves:
Radiation: Far infrared rays radiate or spread from a localized source.
Penetration: Unlike visible light, Far infrared rays can deeply penetrate skin and the underlying tissues up to 1.5 to 2.8 inches (approx. 3.75 ‒ 7 cm).
Resonance: Far infrared rays naturally generate heat by causing the body’s molecules to rapidly vibrate against each other.
For further information, the natural resonant frequencies of molecules of water and organic substances are within the Far Infrared rays frequencies (wavelength of 5.6 to 15 microns); therefore, water and organic substances absorb energy easily from this radiated Far infrared rays. Since it is their resonant frequency, they vibrate vigorously at that frequency and become the radiator of the frequency as well as its receiver. There is more water inside of our body than on the skin surface; therefore, FIR wave deeply penetrates the body (1.5 to 2.8 inches).
HOW IS FAR INFRARED SAUNA
Infrared Saunas are unlike conventional saunas which pull sweat out of the body. Far infrared energy penetrates up to 3 inches into the body and PUSHES sweat out of the body. As the body is heated from the inside out, it forces toxins under the skin out.
The temperature of a far infrared sauna is typically between 90 ‒ 120°F versus a traditional sauna which operates between 180 ‒ 220°F. However, despite operating at a lower temperature, you will typically perspire far more in infrared sauna because the infrared energy penetrates your body at a much deeper level. Fat becomes water soluble at 100°F when it begins to dissolve, move through the blood and finally is removed from the body, resulting in weight loss. Toxins are also eliminated through your skin using lower, comfortable temperatures, for rapid detoxification.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NEAR-INFRARED, MID-INFRARED, AND FAR-INFRARED
The near-infrared heaters emit wavelengths of approximately 780 nm to 1400 nm. These wavelengths penetrate deep into the body and can potentially reach internal organs and tissues. In addition, these wavelengths can also reach the subcutaneous fat layer, which is beneficial for weight loss, healing and skin rejuvenation.
The mid-infrared heaters emit wavelengths of approximately 1400 nm to 3000 nm. These wavelengths are said to penetrate more shallowly into the body and primarily heat the surface of the skin. These wavelengths have a similar effect to sunlight and are said to be beneficial for relaxation and stress relief.
The far-infrared heaters emit wavelengths of approximately 3000 nm to 1 mm. These wavelengths can be absorbed by the body, causing the body's temperature to rise. They are also said to be beneficial for detoxification and sweating.
